PSA Resource links
This article went into more depth about the specifics on how to make an effective public service announcement. From this article I learned that emotion is on of the biggest components of making your PSA believable. Also it is important that your PSA addresses a specific audience. One of the big key points in this article is to make sure that your message or whatever you are trying to convince the audience of is important enough to broadcast.

Preliminary identification of Capstone Elements
1. When I present my project I think that it would be best to wear a suit or slacks and a button down shirt. I want to look professional.
2. I think that when I present verbally it is best to say the most important ideas that relate to my topic and that will persuade the audience the most.
3. To help present my poster I will put it on a stand.
4. I have not thought about presenting a brochure but I now think that it would be a good idea to let the audience have a hard copy of my key points.
5. With my presentation there will be a website, which will include information and a video.
6. I will most likely not present a 3D model or prototype.
Discuss look and feel issues
A. My presentation will lean more towards being serious because, my topic is a very serious matter and I think it would not be appropriate to have comedy or humor in it.
B. I think colors that would appropriate would be warm colors like; red, orange, yellow, and green. As for fonts I think that the basic fonts that are not too hard to read would be good for the audience. As for the layout I plan on making a organized website that shows my ideas and is easy for the audience to understand.
C. My site will be persuasive my catching the audience attention by using graphics and having to-the-point information.
D. I make my point of view understandable by explaining to the audience the significance of my idea in a easy presentable way.
E. I intend to create a corporate economic presentation.

Statement of Intent
1. My goals for my capstone project are to inform people about the process of extracting natural gas from the earth. I want to explore new and improved ways to extract this natural gas efficiently and effectively and so that gas prices go down. Also to show the effects of fracking and how it affects the natural environment.
2. This is important because natural gas is not a renewable resource and society will eventually run out and it is important because the way that natural gas is being extracted today is not that beneficial to the environment.
3. These goals fit with my career because I want to become a petroleum engineer and I want to come up with new ways to extract natural gas from the earth efficiently and effectively without causing harm to the environment.
4. My project gives back to society because it informs the general public about the basics of extracting oil and the effects it has on society.
5. The Richland triple bottom line is people, economics, and environment. The people I am mainly targeting are young and middle aged adults. Economic wise, I am trying to lower gas prices and decrease the destruction of the natural environment.
